Subdivision Construction
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

When will the community facilities and services be in place, such as the completion of parks, roads, sidewalks and local bus service etc?
Answer
The City’s Community Services Department is responsible for the construction, maintenance and operation of recreation facilities including parks, community centres and arenas. For additional information, contact Community Services. The City’s Transportation and Works Department ensures that Developers and their contractors install/construct the municipal services (e.g. roads, sewers, curbs and sidewalks) in accordance with City standards. With respect to the completion of roads, the period from the base of asphalt being placed on the streets to Final Acceptance of the subdivision is normally 3 – 4 years. The final coat of asphalt is usually placed in the summer or fall prior to Final Acceptance. Information concerning the most up-to-date route and scheduling information, service changes etc. can be obtained by contacting Mississauga Transit.
