Library programs
We offer free in-person and virtual programs for all ages like book clubs, storytimes, social activities, crafts and more.
TD Summer Reading Club (TDSRC) is Canada’s biggest, bilingual summer reading program for kids ages 3-12 of all reading interests and abilities. This free program is co-created and delivered by more than 2,000 public libraries nationally to celebrate Canadian authors, illustrators and stories. The program is designed to inspire kids to explore the fun of reading their way – the key to building a lifelong love of reading. It offers something for everyone, including kids with print disabilities, preschoolers, school age children and their families.
Studies show that summer reading programs are a proven tool to help bridge the summer gap between school years and to maintain academic achievement.
Funding for TDSRC prizes is generously donated by The Friends of the Mississauga Library.
Early Bird Registration
Children ages 3-12 years who register early, from June 8 to 30, 2026, have a chance to win one of five new bicycles prizes! All bikes and accessories are generously donated by the City of Mississauga’s Active Transportation section. Visit any Mississauga Library location to register! One ballot is allowable per person. Prize draws will take place after June 30. Ask library staff for details. Full contest rules are available here.
Participate in the TD Summer Reading Club
- From July 2 to August 31, 2026, children ages 3–12 can register for TD Summer Reading Club in person at any Mississauga Library location or online at tdsummerreadingclub.ca.
- Enjoy reading all summer—anytime, anywhere.
- Visit the library throughout the summer to collect stamps, stickers, and prizes. On your final visit, complete a ballot for a chance to win an exciting end-of-summer prize. Draws will take place after August 31. Ask library staff for details. Full contest rules are available here.
