The Mississauga Library System believes in close collaboration with City schools to serve
the reading and curriculum needs of students. The Library has established communication with
all elementary schools and secondary public schools, including French schools.
What can the Library do for you?
- Provide class visit programs
- Promote literacy to Grade 4 classes
- Co-operate with schools to find curriculum-related resources
- Invite your class to an author event
- Support your Silver Birch / Red Maple Award program
- Support research project and homework efforts
- Get involved in your school's events and students' accomplishments
- Help you guide your students through the Internet with recommended homework links and
guides for safe Internet surfing.
- Provide literature-based teaching resources in the Special Collection on the lower level of
Central Library.
