The City of Mississauga manages and maintains 132 woodland areas. When trees are pruned or
removed, all limb and trunk wood is left on site within the wooded area to encourage natural
regeneration by providing materials for regrowth and habitat for woodland insects and animals.
In leaving all material on site, we do not disturb or affect the sensitive regeneration of
native flora and fauna.
