The 13% Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) will apply to most purchases from The City of Mississauga, including Shipping/Handling charges. On certain specific items, such as books, HST of 5% will apply.


Shipments outside of Ontario to other HST participant provinces (e.g. British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia) are also subject to the HST tax at either 13% or 5% rate depending on the item. Shipments outside of Ontario to all other provinces and territories are subject to 5% Goods and Services Tax (GST) only, including Shipping/Handling charges. The Product Detail page will clearly indicate the applicable tax status.
