Quietly carving out his place in the Toronto music scene, saxophonist Carson Freeman has cultivated a distinctive, in-demand style that has propelled him into the spotlight.
Recognized as the 2010 Canadian Smooth Jazz Wind Instrumentalist of the Year, Freeman’s career has been marked by performing alongside Canadian icons including artists such as Michael Bublé, Corey Hart, Andy Kim, Nikki Yanofsky, and Gino Vanelli, as well as several Grammy winners and well-known international artists. In 2011, Freeman received a MARTY Award nomination for Established Performing Artist, and in 2017, he became a key member of Canadian sensation Andy Kim's band. In 2021, Carson established himself as a prominent figure in the Mississauga music scene, earning two nominations at the Mississauga Music Awards—Musician of the Year and Best New Group, alongside his twin brother, Curtis Freeman.
