Calling all Volunteers! City of Mississauga Civic Awards of Recognition Nominations Now Open

The City of Mississauga is now accepting nominations for the 2016 Civic Awards of Recognition Program.  The awards are open to Mississauga groups and individuals who have volunteered in the community for more than 10 years.

WHAT:

Civic Awards of Recognition Nominations

WHEN:

Nominations are accepted until April 29, 2016 at 4:30 p.m.

HOW:

The nomination form and criteria can be found on the City’s website: mississauga.ca/portal/cityhall/civicrecognitionprogram.
Nomination forms are accepted via email and regular mail.

The City’s Civic Awards of Recognition have honoured residents annually since 1992. Other awards in the program include the Certificate of Recognition, the Civic Award of Merit and Civic Award of Philanthropy.

The awards will be presented at a formal ceremony at the Mississauga Civic Centre on May 31, 2016.  Due to limited seating capacity, only the first 100 nominations received will be considered for this year’s event.
