Celebrate Family Literacy Day at Mississauga Library

January 27 is Family Literacy Day. Mississauga Library is celebrating with a range of fun activities and events for all ages, including a visit with Lana Button, award-winning author of the “Willow” picture book series.

Family Literacy Day

Family Literacy Day® is a national initiative created by ABC Life Literacy Canada in 1999. Its goal is to raise awareness of the importance of reading together as a family.

Mississauga Library

Mississauga Library is one of the largest public library systems in Canada, with more than 500,000 cardholders. In 2018, the library welcomed 4.3 million visits and circulated approximately 6.1 million items. The library collection consists of over one million items across 18 locations throughout Mississauga, along with a large number of downloadable and streaming items on mississaugalibrary.ca.
