Hundreds of Students Celebrate Success of City’s Literacy Program

On June 2, hundreds of grade 4 students from select schools in Mississauga will head over to Mississauga Celebration Square to celebrate their success with completing the Grade 4 Read to Succeed (G4R2S) program.

The two-hour outdoor event will feature a reading by J. Torres, the award-winning writer of stories including Alison Dare, Teen Titans Go and Batman: The Brave and the Bold. There will also be a performance by a local hip-hop dance troupe.

Offered by the Mississauga Library System, the annual G4R2S program is aimed at promoting reading and encouraging students to use library resources.
