Kick-off 2023 with Mayor Crombie and Members of Council at Winter Magic

Bring your skates and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon at Mississauga’s Celebration Square on Saturday, January 28. Meet Mayor Bonnie Crombie and Members of Council at Winter Magic: Icescapes – the first event of the 2023 season.

Packed with some of Canada’s winter favourites, guests will enjoy free outdoor skating, visit a wide selection of food trucks, watch a live ice carving, and enjoy the DJ Savannah spin the latest hits.

As a feature of the event, guests are invited to meet Members of Council and special guests and have their picture taken with Mayor Crombie. Professional images can be downloaded for free following the event.

Don’t have your own skates but want to take a spin around the City’s largest outdoor rink? No problem. This event includes free skate rentals from 2 to 4 p.m., while rentals last. Coupons for a free hot drink from onsite food trucks will also be available, while supplies last.

2 p.m. – Event begins; welcome remarks from Mayor Crombie
2:15 to 3:30 p.m. – Meet and greet with Mayor Crombie and Members of Council
3:30 p.m. – Skating on the Square
4 p.m. – Official portion of event concludes. DJ, skating, food trucks and other activities will continue until 10 p.m.
