Last Day for Candidates to register for Municipal By-Election is March 13

The last day a candidate can register to become a candidate in the 2015 Municipal By-Election is Friday, March 13, 2015. The nomination forms must be filed along with the required fee by 2 p.m.

To be a qualified candidate you must:

  • be a Canadian citizen, and
  • be at least 18 years old, and
  • live in Mississauga; or be the owner or tenant of land in Mississauga or the spouse of an owner or tenant.

There are reasons why you may not be able to be a candidate. If you are thinking about becoming a candidate, it is your responsibility to find out if you are eligible. Visit mississaugavotes.ca or call 905-615-VOTE for more information.

About the 2015 Municipal By-Election in Mississauga

The 2015 Municipal By-Election is on April 27, 2015. Eligible voters will be able to vote for the Ward 4 councillor.

The City of Mississauga will hold advance polls April 13, 18 and 19, 2015. Don’t forget to bring your Voter Notification Card and acceptable ID when you go to vote.

For the 2015 Municipal By-Election, eligible electors will be able to vote at any of the polling places listed on the website or Voter Notification Card.
