If you’re looking for a bright way to kick start the holiday season and celebrate winter’s magic, you won’t want to miss Light Up the Square on November 24.

Start your night cozied up to the fire with a hot chocolate or hit the ice for the first skate of the season on Mississauga’s largest outdoor rink. Later, watch the Square turn into a winter wonderland as Mayor Bonnie Crombie, Members of Council and other special guests light up the Christmas tree.

Light Up the Square

Saturday, November  24, 2018

Event: 5 to 9 p.m.

Holiday Street Market: 3 to 11 p.m.

Mississauga Celebration Square
300 City Centre Dr.

Further brighten your evening with interactive LED kids shows, lighting painting, a candy cane forest and live performances by RupLoops and The Free Label, a one-of-a-kind human jukebox, where you pick the playlist. Make sure to visit Santa and his elves for a festive photo-op before making your way to the Glow Lounge for some pre-holiday relaxation.

Find unique holiday gifts for everyone on your list as the highly-anticipated Holiday Street Market makes its return with more than 40 artisans and food truck vendors, and a s’more station. Don’t forget to treat yourself to a delicious snack!

This year, Mayor Bonnie Crombie will officially launch her annual city-wide Holiday Food Drive in support of The Mississauga Food Bank at Light Up the Square.

Get in the festive spirit and help those in need by bringing a non-perishable food item for donation. Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services will be onsite with their fire truck and Mississauga Food Bank mascot, Donny to collect donations.

Don’t miss The Orpheum by Art & Science, an interactive installation and musical instrument combining touch, sound and lights. Improvise, experiment and take in the magic as the Square is filled with light and sound.
