Mississauga’s 2014 Urban Design Awards focus on Healthy Design

Nominations for the 33rd Annual Mississauga Urban Design Awards are now open.  This year’s focus is on designing healthy environments that create unique and memorable urban experiences. To support this theme, the first Healthy by Design award will be presented in partnership with the Region of Peel, Public Health Unit. The awards are the longest running municipal urban design competition in Ontario and will be presented on October 2, 2014.

“The 33rd annual Mississauga Urban Design Awards are about celebrating the finest in urban design,” said Ed Sajecki, Mississauga’s Commissioner of Planning and Building.  “They also remind residents of how committed we are to making sure they live in a beautiful, liveable city that is healthy by design.”

The deadline for submissions is August 8, 2014 at 1 p.m. The nomination form for the Mississauga Urban Design Awards is available here:
