New By-law Bans Approaching People at Accident Scenes for Services and Products

The new Accident Scene Solicitation By-law in effect April 1, 2015, bans anyone approaching or offering services (such as car rentals, body shops or legal services) or products such as medical or auto related items at accident scenes.  The by-law helps protect the public from unwanted offers accident scenes.

Through the by-law, staff and police will be able to manage and enforce unlicensed solicitation for services or products including but not limited to legal, chiropractic, insurance and auto repair services.
