Summertime Fun at Mississauga’s Spray Pads, Pools and Parks

Entertainment and activities | May 27, 2016

With temperatures rising and summer well on its way, Mississauga residents looking to cool off can beat the heat at one of Mississauga’s spray pads, pools and parks.

Spray Pads
On May 28, Mississauga will open its 18 spray pads for children to enjoy all summer long – weather permitting (Lake Aquitaine Park is closed for renovations). All spray pads are unsupervised and open at 9 a.m., except for Lakefront Promenade Marina Park which opens at 10 a.m. For more information on spray parks available in your neighbourhood, visit: eparks.ca.

Pools
City-operated pools are safe and supervised by highly-trained staff. The City operates 11 indoor pools that are open all year (Meadowvale Community Centre pool is currently closed and set to re-open in fall 2016). Indoor pools offer a variety of aquatic programs, drop-in swims and lessons for all ages. Mississauga also has seven City-operated outdoor pools that offer a place to relax with family and friends. Outdoor pools are set to open on June 25.

Parks
The summer is a perfect time to discover one of the city’s many scenic parks. Enjoy a picnic, go for a stroll or relax under the shade of some trees.
