Thousands of Peel Region Students Celebrate Music Monday at Mississauga Celebration Square

Join 2,500 Peel Region students on May 5 at Mississauga Celebration Square as they “Fill the Skies with Music.”  Students will gather to sing “Is Somebody Singing” written by Canadian astronaut Col. Chris Hadfield and Ed Robertson lead singer and guitarist of the band Barenaked Ladies.

Special guests include Juno Award winning children’s performer Jack Grunsky and Mississauga’s own Wali Shah, 19 year old rapper and poet.

Music Monday is an annual event that brings together thousands of students, musicians, parents and community members on the same day at the same time across the country to celebrate the gift of music in our lives. Music Monday is part of the City’s Rebel14 youth campaign happening from May 1 to 7.
