COVID-19: Follow public health measures during the stay-at-home order

Cherry blossoms at Kariya Park

To help stop the spread of COVID-19, residents are encouraged to enjoy the cherry blossoms virtually this year, instead of visiting the park in person.

The webcams are not surveillance cameras and do not intend to collect personal information.

Based on the current public health measures, Kariya Park is open and accessible to the public. If you choose to visit in person, you must follow current COVID-19 restrictions and public health measures. These include:

  • Maintaining physical distance of two metres (six feet) from others
  • Wearing a face covering, even when outdoors, if physical distancing cannot be maintained

If conditions change and it’s recommended that in-person visits are not safe, only this virtual option will be offered.
