Read More About My Applications

The My Application feature allows you to bookmark and monitor both Building Permit applications and Development applications. You need to be logged into the web site to utilize this feature. Please register and create a web site portal account. You will require an email address to complete the registration process. There is no personal information required, no address, and no phone numbers in order to protect your personal privacy. Since only people associated with the application/permit are permitted to view this information, applicants will receive at the time of application an application confirmation receipt. The Application number and application specific WEBID will appear in this report. These (2) pieces of information will be required to access this feature. The My Applications feature is your best way to manage multiple applications. You can add or remove applications from this book marking feature. You can also subscribe or unsubscribe from the Notify Me feature.

Building Permits
When you first receive your Application Status Access report, log in to the site and go to the View Building Permit Application Status feature, enter the application number and WEBID. In the case of Building Permit applications, this combination will be automatically added to your My Applications. You will also be automatically subscribed to the Notify Me feature. If you have applied for applications in a Group, by entering a single application number and WEBID all the applications in the Group can be added to your My Applications so that you do not have to do this individually. If you have lost your Application Status Access report, you may request a new one by calling the Customer Services Section of the Building Division at 905-896-5619.

Development Applications
When you first receive your Application Status Access report, log in to the site and go to the View Development Application Status feature, enter the application number and WEBID. To add a new Development Application to My Applications, simply click on the Add to My Applications link. The application will be added and displayed in the My Applications portlet on the left hand side of the page. You will need to subscribe to the Notify Me feature to receive email notification of application activity status change. You can do this by clicking on the Subscribe to Notify Me link. The page will refresh and the link will change to Unsubscribe Me. If you have lost your application receipt, you may request a new one by calling the Planning Division at 905-896-5541.

Notify Me
When you subscribe to this feature you will receive an automatic email notification when an activity associated with your application has been completed or the status of the activity has changed. Emails are generated nightly and sent to you. For Building Permits, most all activities are available for notification. Development applications have a large number of activities and only certain activities are flagged for notification. If you no longer wish to receive these emails you can follow the instructions in the email notification to unsubscribe from the feature.
