There are no conditions of issuance for these types of permits other than an inspection.You will be asked to schedule an inspection when you complete our online application form.Inspections can be scheduled for normal business hours (8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with the exception of holidays).
The sanitary sewer on the public side is under the jurisdiction of the Region of Peel, therefore the Region must be contacted for stake out purposes.The applicant is required to contact the Region of Peel - Public Works Department through their general information number (905)791-7800 x7973 to notify them of the construction. The issuance of the permit will not be held for this notification or the inspection.
Note:It is the responsibility of the property owner to ensure that the existing private sewage disposal system be adequately decommissioned to prevent a health and safety hazard and contamination to the environment.
Decommissioning of the septic tank may include pumping it out by a licensed waste hauler and backfilling with granular material OR the septic tank may be pumped and removed.)
