Report Nuisance Lighting

Use this service to report nuisance lighting on private property.

To submit a request you need to:


1. Provide a valid Mississauga street address.

You need to provide the street address for this service request. If the address cannot be found in our system, you may need to call 3-1-1 to make your request.

2. Provide your contact information and email.

Your email address will be used to send you a confirmation, and to help you receive status updates on your request.

Please confirm the following:


I am reporting nuisance lighting on private property.

The Nuisance Lighting By-law 262-12 prohibits and regulates light nuisances.

The nuisance lighting is not located on a Sports Field.

To report nuisance lighting on a sports field call 3-1-1.

The nuisance lighting is not located in a Transitway shelter.

To report nuisance lighting in a Transitway shelter call 905-615-4636.

The nuisance lighting is not located on a railway.

This is governed by the Province and the City does not enforce. To report nuisance lighting on a railway call ServiceOntario at 416-326-1234 or 1-800-267-8097.
