Submit a request for review of your stormwater assessment

How the request for review process works:

Once your request for review is received, you will be notified by email. Assessments will be reviewed by the Environmental Services Section. Notifications will be made by mail.

To apply you will need to:


1. Look up your assessment on the estimator tool.

Your assessment can be found online or by calling 3-1-1.

2. Provide the street address of your property.

If the address cannot be found in our system, you may need to call 3-1-1 to make your request.

3. Provide contact information and email.

Your email address will be used to send you a confirmation and to help you receive status updates on your request.

Please note the following:


Site visits will not be carried out as part of the review process.

Assessments will not be reviewed based on any of the following characteristics of a property: soil types, the ratio of hard surface area to total property area, proximity to creeks, rivers or ditches, presence of private stormwater measures like disconnected downspouts, or other factors.

Review may result in the charge being raised, lowered or unchanged. The new assessment will apply.

Your personal information is collected under the authority of City of Mississauga Stormwater Fees and Charges By-law 135-15. The personal information will be used in the administration of your request to review the stormwater charge assessment. Staff may also follow up with you or collect feedback once the service request has been closed.
