CD.03-DOW – Downtown Fairview, Cooksville and Hospital Character Areas

To consider changes to the Mississauga
Official Plan for the Downtown Fairview,
Cooksville and Hospital Character Areas.
The purpose of this Amendment is to revise
official plan policies to include, among other
matters, a new vision and guiding principles,
urban form, road and pedestrian
connections and other land use and building
height policies that provide for transitsupportive
development.
New built form standards are proposed to
include, among other matters, setbacks and
podium conditions to achieve a main street
character.
The official plan amendment also includes
lands (2406 – 2530 Shepard Avenue and 29
Paisley Boulevard East) subject to appeal to
the Ontario Land Tribunal against City Plan.

The appeal remains adjourned without any
fixed hearing date.
