Tourism - Shopping Mississauga has tremendous shopping opportunities for absolutely everyone. If you like to spend like a celebrity or look for the very best deal there are more then your fair share of places to shop in Mississauga. At the centre of it all is Ontario's largest mall, Square One.

Shopping Centres
With over 350 stores, Square One is a shopping destination on its own. Here you will find absolutely everything on your wish list. Major department stores such as Zellers, The Bay, Sears and Walmart are represented here. Top retailers including Tommy Hilfiger, Parasuco, Banana Republic, Godiva Chocolatier, Birks, Benetton, Esprit, Talbots, The Gap and Harry Rosen all call Square One home.

There is also a bustling food court and a state-of-the-art multi-screen Cineplex Odeon cinema for your dining and entertainment needs.

Other major malls include the Erin Mills Town Centre which boasts over 145 shops and services. For the best deals around don't miss the Dixie Outlet Mall. This mall has over 100 stores offering huge discounts on brand-name fashions, footwear, electronics and home furnishings.

Just north of the city centre is the sprawling Heartland Centre. This outdoor shopping and dining complex offers shoppers seemingly endless choices. Outlets for Club Monaco, Jacob, Tristan, Mexx, Danier Leather, Timberland, Stitches, Mikasa, Harry Rosen and many others. There are also huge electronics retailers like Future Shop and Best Buy. Almost anything you want to eat is available at Heartland as well. Applebee's, East Side Marios and almost all the fast food chains, Swiss Chalet and Canada's first Krispy Kreme location.

Village Shopping
For those of you who enjoy shopping in smaller, more intimate establishments visit the Port Credit Village near Lakeshore Rd. and Hurontario St. Here you will find an interesting array of specialty shops including fashionable clothing boutiques, intimate restaurants, spas, cafes, craft stores, jewelers, antique shops, sporting goods and small retailers specializing in imported foods.

Clarkson Village on Lakeshore Road and The Village of Streetsville, on Mississauga Road, just north of Eglinton Ave, also have their own collections of unique shops and services.

For all things Chinese, visit the Mississauga Chinese Centre on Dundas Street,  just west of Tomken Rd., or Golden Square Centre. Mississauga's largest Asian centre, located on Central Parkway at Creditview Rd. These two spots feature authentic restaurants, bakeries, medical services, clothing, boutiques, imported foods and a variety of other services.

Farmer's Market
A popular feature of the food shopping scene in Mississauga is the large Farmers' Market located in the Square One parking lot every Friday between the third week in June and the end of October. Food growers and wholesalers bring fresh produce to the market which they sell directly to the public.
