Celebrate Seniors’ Month at Erin Meadows Library:

Snowbird Lifestyle Presentation
Join us for a ‘Snowbird Lifestyle’ presentation by Ted Popel, Volunteer Director of the Canadian Snowbird Association. The presentation will cover ‘snowbird’ issues such as border crossing, US taxes, money transfer, insurance, current lobbying efforts and more.

Blending Herbal Teas
Registered Herbalist Elizabeth Boyd will show you how to blend different herbs and plants into tasty teas; talk about traditional uses of these herbs as medicines and have samples for you to try. Elizabeth will also talk about what and when to plant to make sure you have tea all year round.

Computer Buddies 
Central Library, Third Floor
Older adults pair with teen volunteers for one-on-one basic computer instruction for one hour per week for 2 weeks.
Saturdays, 9:00am-4:00pm
Admission is free. Registration is required.

Meadowvale Library
Six week sessions either after school Fridays or Saturday mornings, pairing up older adults with teen volunteers who can assist with one-on-one mentoring focusing on such topics as mouse and keyboard skills, Internet and email basics.

Woodlands Library
Basic computer instruction which pairs up Adults
who want to learn more about computers
with teen volunteers who can assist with one-on-one mentoring.

eLibrary Basics
Streetsville Library
Learn the basics of Zinio (eMagazines), Freegal (eMusic) and Overdrive (eBooks/eAudiobooks) and Mango Languages with a library staff member. Call 905-615-4785 to make a 1-hour appointment.

Meets on the last Wednesday of the month from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
Guest speakers on different subjects are often invited and the refreshment is provided.

Seniors’ Social Club
Chat with friends; meet new people, free refreshments and Good Company!
2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.

Cooksville Library
Older Adult Social Club
Meetings are held the first and third Wednesday of each month from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.   September to June.
Come out and join our older adults for a friendly social. Guest speakers are often invited. Your input is welcome!

Young At Heart
Meets the last Wednesday of every month from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.  We offer a variety of guests speakers presenting on topics such as, Yoga, Meditation, Fire Safety and Diabetes Awareness. All older adults are welcome to enjoy snacks, light refreshments and meet new older adults in the community.

Meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month. No meetings in July or August.
