The current modified programming being offered will include a variety of drop-in classes and weight room/cardio access with online reservations, available up to seven days in advance.

Several measures have been taken to ensure the health and safety of participants and staff. Below are some FAQs for more information on how to book your workout time and guidelines that will be implemented to ensure your health and safety.

 

 

 

Frequently asked questions

Participants must be a minimum of 14 years old to enter the fitness centre.

Yes, following the provincial legislation regarding reduced capacity, weight/cardio room and classes must be reserved online in advance. Customers are encouraged to reserve their space online.

Payment or your membership card scan will take place at the front desk. Only customers who have reserved their spots through the registration system will be admitted into the fitness facilities.

Please limit your reservation to a one-time slot per day to accommodate as many guests as possible. Due to limited availability, if you can’t attend please log into your account and cancel your reservation.

 

Yes, personal training will be offered starting September 8, 2020. If interested, please contact your fitness centre to ask about availability, fees, or to book an appointment.

Unfortunately, squash courts will not be available for play for the first phase of our fitness centres re-opening due to current Provincial and Peel Health disinfectant and cleaning requirements. We are closely monitoring legislative direction and hoping to add squash in the upcoming phases.

ActiveAssist credits can be used to purchase multi-visit passes for drop-in activities, or for purchasing a membership.

Change rooms, saunas/steam rooms, lockers and water fountains will be unavailable. Arrive dressed to work out. Bins will be provided for personal belongings, but please leave valuables at home. Water bottle refill stations will be available where available.

For the safety of patrons and staff, the following measures are being implemented:

  • Fitness facilities will have increased cleaning schedules conducted by staff throughout the day
  • Patrons are encouraged to continue to take general precautions, including physical distancing of at least 2 metres/6 feet and wear face masks (when not exercising), especially in communal areas
  • Use of physical markers for workout zones and signage to indicate the appropriate 2 metres/6 feet spacing distance and traffic flow, where appropriate
  • Increased sanitation stations will also be available for use
  • Patrons are expected to clean equipment before and after use
  • Some equipment has been removed or decommissioned to allow for physical distancing
  • Class sizes will be limited based on provincial directives
