Sometimes the Library does not have the title you are looking for, or it may be on order. We
encourage you to send an email asking the Library to consider purchasing the item. Your
suggestion should have as much information about the item as possible, for example:
title (and sub-title, if known)
author (first and last name)
media format (book, video, cd, magazine, etc.)
fiction or non-fiction
publishing information (date, publisher, etc.)
topic (what the book is about)
Send your suggestion to: General
Library Email
Your suggestion will be reviewed according to Library purchasing guidelines. If the item is not
purchased by the Library, you will be notified by email and given an alternative option, if
available.
If the title is ordered, a hold will be placed on your behalf. You must include:
your library card number
your telephone number
the branch location for pick up of the item
You will be telephoned as with normal holds when the item is available for pick up.
Although we can suggest titles to all our vendors, the acting of loading holds on requested
items is limited based on some media formats. If a hold cannot be place on a requested title we
will confirm your request has been forwarded to our vendor and give you a time frame to expect
delivery.
Please note: Library orders can take up to 3 - 6 months to be filled
