Canadian Library Statistics

The Canadian Public Library Statistical report and rankings is produced annually by the Mississauga Library System for the Canadian Urban Libraries Council (CULC) formerly CALUPL.

The voluntary survey is distributed to Canadian public and regional library systems in cities with a population of 50,000 or greater. The data is compiled and collated into a report that is published in electronic format only in June of each year.

The Branch Statistics Report is a new effort by the members of the Canadian Urban Libraries Council (CULC).  On a voluntary basis member library systems contribute basic branch level statistics which are used to create some basic performance measures.

The information presented in the report is submitted by each responding library and comparisons should be made with caution.
