Creative escapes at the museum – just for grown-ups. These programs combine history, hands-on activities and culinary traditions for a rich, interactive experience. Recent programs offered include:
- preparing seasonal meals over an open hearth,
- making sweet and savoury preserves, and
- making a vintage hand sewn project.
Teatime at Benares Historic House
Perfect for a fun outing, experience afternoon tea with sweet and savoury seasonal treats. Once you’ve finished your tea, enjoy a guided tour of Benares Historic House.
Historic cooking and crafts for kids
Kid- and teen-friendly programs are offered year-
round where participants can make crafts, taste treats and learn about seasonal and holiday traditions from over 200 years ago.
