Call for Artists: Carmen Corbasson Community Centre

Project overview

The City of Mississauga’s Public Art Program invites professional artists and artist-led teams to submit expressions of interest to create permanent public artwork(s) to be installed at the Carmen Corbasson Community Centre (1399 Cawthra Road, Mississauga, ON).

The City is seeking to commission art that helps to create an inter-generational gathering place and animate the area connecting the Carmen Corbasson Community Centre with the Mississauga Seniors Centre, which is located in the same plaza. Artists with experience creating inclusive and accessible public art are strongly encouraged to apply.

This project is part of the Carmen Corbasson Community Centre renovation project.

Submissions

This is a two-stage selection process. Artists selected to submit proposals in Stage 2 shall receive a proposal fee of $1,000.00 CAD + HST. Total budget for this project is $100,000.00 CAD + HST.
