The City of Mississauga Public Art Program invites professional artists and artist/artist-led teams to submit credentials and expressions of interest to create a permanent public artwork for Fairwinds Park, located in Mississauga, Ontario.
The park is in close proximity to Cooksville Creek and includes protected wetlands, making this public art opportunity ideal for artists interested in connection with community, nature, and ecology. This project is funded through developer contributions as part of a multi-phase commitment.
This is a two-stage artist selection process. Up to three artists will be shortlisted from this call to develop a proposal.
The budget for this artwork is $315,000 + HST CAD. The City aims to unveil the artwork in 2028.
Submissions will be accepted until Thursday, November 23, 2026 at 11:59 pm ET.
