The Music 311 program features local music on the City of Mississauga’s 311 call queue lines and the Council meeting live stream. We strive to answer calls to 311 as quickly as possible. When a Customer Service representative is not immediately available, callers will hear a selection of local music.
The program showcases the talent and diversity of Mississauga’s musicians while helping to build new audiences. Music 311 also aims to enrich the caller experience by complementing the service they receive from Customer Service representatives with new musical experiences.
12 recordings will be selected per year. The City’s website will include information to accompany the program where the public can learn more about the featured artists and songs.
To reflect the diversity of Mississauga’s population and artistic communities, an adjudication committee will select the 12 recordings for each annual term. Eligible recordings must meet the following criteria:
