Libraries now open with limited services.

Library now open

Mississauga Library locations are open, except for Port Credit Library (currently closed for maintenance). In its place, the Port Credit Memorial Arena Pop-Up Library has opened to provide limited library services. Libraries are open at 50% capacity with limited services.

Appointments are not required for holds. Customers who would prefer a contactless pickup can request this service by phoning their location more than an hour in advance of their preferred pickup time.

Computer access is available by appointment or walk-in. Drop boxes are open. Study spaces are available on a first come first serve basis without an appointment for use by individuals in the same household at one table without a time limit.

Access to browsing collections, fine payments and information and reference services is available.

Please note that we have resumed pre-closure due dates and borrowing privileges. Please consult your checkout slip or check your account online. For help with renewals or updates to your account, you can view this video, email or call 905-615-3500.

What has changed:

  • Items on hold are on the shelf for one week
  • Three week loan period for books, hotspots, DVDs, and Launchpads
  • One week loan period for magazines, video games, Chromebooks, park, museum, and family activity passes
  • Fines and fees are accumulating for overdue items but at this time they will not prevent you from using the library or accessing your account
  • The non-resident fee is $40.00
  • Your PIN will be required at self checkout

Library service will not be available on the following dates in 2021:

Monday, September 6
Monday, October 11
Friday, December 24 (close at 1 pm)
Saturday, December 25
Monday, December 27 (Boxing Day)
Friday, December 31 (close at 5 p.m.)

Contactless pickup is not available on Sundays
