The Government of Ontario announced further restrictions to the stay-at-home order, in effect as of Saturday, April 17. As a result, all outdoor recreational amenities, such as golf courses, basketball courts, soccer fields, and outdoor fitness equipment are closed.
Frank McKechnie Community Centre has been named in honour of the former Councillor of Ward 5, one of Canada’s longest-serving municipal politicians who served as an elected official for 39 years.
Frank McKechnie Community Centre features a wood sprung floor and mirrored walls perfect for group exercise classes. Classes include Kickbox Cardio, Zumba, Latin Fitness and more.
Frank McKechnie Activity Studio has a wood sprung floor and mirrored walls for group exercise classes like yoga, fitness boot camp, tai chi and more.
The gym offers a variety of activities including basketball, volleyball, badminton, indoor soccer and more.
Frank McKechnie pool will be closed for capital repairs until mid-December.
The project involves roof renewal, replacement of heat exchangers, hot water tanks, HVAC units, and pool pumps.
During this period, the following pools will be closed:
