About the artwork

ON AIR celebrates the power of migration and honours the past, present, and future generations of Malton. Drawing on themes of movement and connection, the design incorporates aviation-inspired forms that reference the community’s relationship to air travel and its role as a place of arrival and opportunity. The work reflects the energy, diversity, and collective journeys that have shaped Malton over time.
