About the artwork

Donated to the City’s public art collection by Mississauga Arts Council, the artwork is a celebration of Mississauga’s natural beauty.

Mississauga has been my home since 2011, and I’ve grown to love its natural beauty. “Where the Wild Things Swim” celebrates that, featuring local species like the great blue heron, painted turtle, eastern cottontail and native plants. The scene is a metaphor for a diverse, thriving community. Vibrant colours and flowing forms reflect the energy of the David Ramsay Outdoor Pool.
