Carmen
On-sale to the public starts Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 9am online and 12pm through the Living Arts Centre box office.
Based on music of Georges Bizet and Rodion Shchedrin, written and directed by Ján Ďurovčík, Slovak Dance Theatre’s Carmen is a fusion of libertine and conservative, Spanish and Slavonic, even including some folklore elements in the character of Escamillo.
Fastpaced situations are alternated by lyrical, intimate moments. Carmen by Slovak Dance Theatre has been successfully presented in world metropoles including New York, Tokyo, London, Beijing, Rome, Madrid, Amsterdam, Mexico City, Québec, Helsinki, Graz, and many others.
