imagineNATIVE: Generational Legacies, Broken Angel
Presented by the Living Arts Centre and City of Mississauga.
Dr. Jules Arita Koostachin (Cree) focuses her debut feature on Angel, the mother to Tanis, who escapes into the night from her abusive partner Earl to a women's shelter on the reservation. As the prospect of a new beginning comes to light, he tracks her down, and she is forced to flee or fight.
This event is brought to you in partnership with imagineNATIVE and Hamilton Artists Inc. The 2023 imagineNATIVE Tour brings Indigenous-made film and video works, as well as community engagement activities to communities across Turtle Island (Canada).
