The Celebration Square ice rink is free for public use and open daily, weather permitting.

Skate rink hours

Sundays to Thursdays 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Fridays and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Participants must follow the Skaters code of conduct while using the ice rink. The rink is patrolled on weeknights, weekends, and holidays.

Celebration Square is an outdoor rink that may need to close temporarily during periods of heavy snow or warmer temperatures. To confirm the rink is open, call 905-615-3200 ext. R-I-N-K (7465). To see how busy the ice rink is, view the live webcams.

The Skate Lounge

Located in the Amphitheatre across from the rink, this new lounge is the picture-perfect spot to lace up your skates or warm up after hitting the ice. Stop by and stay cozy with outdoor heaters, plenty of seats, and winter vibes all wrapped up under countless glowing lights.

Skaters code of conduct

  • Listen to and obey skate patrollers at all times
  • Do not bring food or drink on the ice surface
  • Skate in the approved direction only. Do not skate backwards.
  • All participants must be in full control and be able to avoid contact with other skaters. No horseplay/games.
  • Do not skate excessively fast or erratically
  • No hockey equipment or other toys/equipment are permitted on the ice surface
  • Only approved skate aid devices will be permitted
  • Do not stand/rest on the ice surface
  • Do not carry children while skating
  • Leave the ice surface immediately when asked to do so by the skate patrollers
  • The use of CSA approved hockey helmets by all participants is strongly recommended
  • All participants must wear ice skates (excluding those in wheelchairs/sledges)

  • Wheelchairs (persons accompanying a participant in a wheelchair must wear ice skates)
  • E-Z Gliders
  • Sledges

The Winter Porch

Grab a bite to eat or sip on your favourite holiday drink at the Square’s very own winter patio! Comfy seating and a lineup of food trucks serving delicious treats are sure to keep you toasty. Participating food trucks include:
