A U-Pass, or Universal Bus Pass, is a student transit card allowing unlimited fare-free rides on local transit.
In 2007, the University of Toronto Mississauga Student Union worked with MiWay to launch a U-Pass to provide an economical transit option for their fellow students. This U-Pass offers unlimited travel on MiWay buses during an academic term (September 1 through April 30) for those students who are eligible. In 2011, the UTM Summer U-Pass was created for students taking courses during the summer (May 1 through August 31).
Currently, the University of Toronto Mississauga is the only post-secondary educational institution in Mississauga that offers a U-Pass to its students.
A student must present his or her U-Pass and UTM T-Card (both) to the Transit Operator for review when boarding the bus.
