At MiWay, we understand the financial impact COVID-19 is having on our customers. This is a small token of appreciation to our loyal customer base as we welcome you back on MiWay.
All MiWay customers who had a monthly pass for the month of March 2020 will receive the following pro-rated reimbursement for 11 days of free service (March 21 – 31, 2020).
Pass reimbursement will be applied to the pass holders PRESTO card as an ePurse load only. ePurse funds can be used for individual trips or towards the purchase of a future monthly pass.

Funds will automatically appear on your account once you have tapped during the activation period. If you do not see your funds as ePurse, please contact PRESTO directly.
This is the second, and final reimbursement window.
At the close of the window, individual pass reimbursement requests for March will not be processed.
TTC Route 52 customers boarding in Mississauga will not receive reimbursement for travel. TTC Route 52 is a contracted service to MiWay, and operated by TTC. TTC fare collection remains in place.

Starting Monday, Sept. 14, load funds on your PRESTO card with the new Self-Serve Reload Machine at the City Centre Transit Terminal. It’s located outside the terminal building near Platform H.
Use either a debit or credit card to add ePurse funds instantly to your PRESTO card. You can also check your card balance and transaction history.
We’re upgrading the PRESTO devices on our buses, so you may notice that they look different when you are tapping on to pay your fare.
Many of our devices are now almost 10 years old, so we’re replacing them with upgraded ones. The devices have a new look, including larger screens, but the new devices are designed to process one card at a time, so make sure you’re tapping only your PRESTO card against the reader (not your entire wallet filled with cards) to pay your fare.

Your PRESTO card works in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) and Ottawa area. You can buy a PRESTO card from a Customer Service Outlet located at:
You can set your fare type to youth or senior if you buy your card in person at a Customer Service Outlet.
You can preload a MiWay monthly pass onto your PRESTO card or load funds to your PRESTO card to pay a single fare. When you load funds onto your PRESTO card online, it may take up to 24 hours to show up on your account.
You can register your PRESTO card online to get balance recovery, overdraft trip, autoload funds or auto renew your monthly pass.
Tap your card on the PRESTO card reader when you board the bus. Your transfer is active for two hours from when you first tap your card on the bus.
Use the official PRESTO app to load funds instantly and manage your card anytime, anywhere. You can download the PRESTO app on Android or iOS. Log in with your existing My PRESTO Account or your card number to get started.
Once you pay for 12 rides during any one week (Monday to Sunday) using your PRESTO card, you can ride free on MiWay for the remainder of the week.
Note: Fares paid on other transit services and discounted GO co-fare payments do not count toward this program. Transfers do not count as additional paid fares.
