Service changes start on Monday, October 27

A new Route 135 Eglinton Express will service key stops along the Eglinton corridor. Route 107 Malton Express will have more frequent weekday and Saturday service, as well as new Sunday service. Routes 2 Hurontario, 51 Tomken and 71 Sheridan will have improved weekday service.

New Route 135 Eglinton Express

MiWay will introduce a new weekday peak express route along the Eglinton corridor and the Mississauga Transitway. The route will travel from Winston Churchill Station to Renforth Station, via Eglinton Avenue and the Mississauga Transitway.

This new route will provide new connections to local MiWay bus service along the Eglinton corridor and the transitway, and to regional GO bus service at Winston Churchill and Renforth Stations.

The service will run every 12 minutes on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the morning and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the afternoon. Service frequencies on Route 35 Eglinton will be adjusted from 10 minutes to 12 minutes to better align with this new service.

More service throughout the week on Route 107 Malton Express

Due to growing ridership demand, Route 107 Malton Express will have more frequent weekday and Saturday service, as well as new Sunday service.

Weekday service will operate 15 minutes or better between 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

  • Weekday midday: from 22 minutes to 15 minutes
  • Weekday afternoon rush hour: from 13 minutes to 12 minutes

Saturday service will operate 20 minutes or better between 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

  • Saturday core: from 28 minutes to 20 minutes
  • Saturday service will start earlier at 8 a.m. and end later at 9 p.m.
  • All trips on Saturday will operate between City Centre Transit Terminal and Humber College.

New Sunday service will operate 20 minutes or better between 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

  • Sunday service will operate between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.
  • All trips on Sunday will operate between City Centre Transit Terminal and Humber College.

Weekday service improvements

Due to increased customer demand and to address overcrowding, the following routes will have more frequent service on weekdays.

  • 2 Hurontario: from 11 minutes to 10 minutes during 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • 51 Tomken: from 15 minutes to 13 minutes during 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • 71 Sheridan: an additional trip will be added in the morning and  afternoon rush periods.

Schedule adjustments will be made on the routes below to improve service reliability as traffic and ridership patterns continue to evolve throughout the city.

  • 2 Hurontario (weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays)
  • 6 Credit Woodlands (weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays)
  • 17 Hurontario (weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays)
  • 20 Rathburn (weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays)
  • 23 Lakeshore (weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays)
  • 38 Creditview (weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays)
  • 46 Tenth Line (weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays)
  • 49 McDowell (weekdays)

MiWay will make further schedule adjustments as needed to ensure that services remain responsive to customer needs.
