MiWay made significant changes and experienced renewed demand for transit service in 2024. We invested in the transit system with an unprecedented 8% service increase to help respond to growth in customer demand, implement new express service and improve connections to key destinations, such as the University of Toronto (UTM) campus.
This investment in service helped alleviate overcrowding on high demand routes and delivered an improved customer experience. We have also strengthened our ability to listen and understand the needs of customers and the community with our presence at more community events, by participating in meaningful dialogue, measurement and digital engagement. The result is delivering a more caring, compassionate and empathetic customer service attuned to our customers’ needs. Our safety-first focus has contributed to a safer work environment and significantly reduced the number of work-related injuries while increasing safety on the roads for passengers and others sharing the roadways.
