Service Update: Detours have ended at Humber and Sheridan colleges

Updated October 15: The labour disruption at Humber and Sheridan Colleges has ended. MiWay buses will resume their regular routes and will no longer be on detour.

Humber and Sheridan College has advised that the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) representing full-time support staff at the college is on strike.

Classes and academic programming are not impacted, however, for operational and safety reasons, MiWay buses will not be able to enter Humber College (North Campus) and Sheridan College (Davis Campus). The routes that serve the colleges are on detour and will service temporary on-street bus stops located near each of the campuses.

Humber College (North Campus)

The on-campus bus stops for Routes 22 Finch and 107 Malton Express have been moved to a temporary on-street location on Humber College Boulevard near Arboretum Boulevard.

Sheridan College (Davis Campus)

The on-campus bus stops have been moved to temporary on-street locations:

  • Routes 18 McLaughlin-Derry and 66 McLaughlin will be moved to temporary bus stops located on McLaughlin Road and Kingknoll Drive. Buses heading southbound will stop on the west side of McLaughlin Road. Buses heading northbound will stop on Kingknoll Drive.
  • Routes 57 Courtneypark, 57A Courtneypark and 61 Mavis will be moved to a temporary bus stop located on McLaughlin Road near Kingknoll Drive.
