Safety. Courtesy. Respect – The key to making every ride welcoming and safe

Riding the bus is part of daily life for many people, and at MiWay, our Transit Operators work hard to get you where you need to go safely and on time. They are skilled professionals who navigate busy streets, keep to schedules, and look out for everyone’s safety even when road conditions are tough.

Last year, the Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA) launched the Transit Code campaign to encourage respect and safety on public transit. MiWay created its own version of this campaign with a focus on Operator Safety. The campaign features photos of our Operators enjoying hobbies like baseball, bowling, and spending time with their dogs reminding riders that these hardworking individuals are part of our community.

Violence and abuse of any kind have no place online or on board a MiWay bus. By following the rules and guidelines when travelling with MiWay, we can all help keep the bus a safe and welcoming place.
