Service frequency adjustments on Route 110 University Express

To better serve customers and meet demand, Route 110 University Express will run more often between City Centre Transit Terminal and Clarkson GO Station.

As part of this change, Route 110A University Express will be discontinued, with service merging with Route 110 University Express.

Increased service frequency based on customer travel patterns

MiWay monitors ridership patterns regularly to adapt service levels based on how customers are using the transit network. These changes help ensure transit resources are distributed effectively to support the areas of greatest demand.

MiWay is also adding more weekend service to the following routes:

Service adjustments based on demand: 18 Derry and 9 Rathburn

Due to reduced ridership, MiWay is adjusting the following routes. Changes are made based on ridership patterns, and MiWay realigns resources to high-demand routes.

  • 18 Derry: Every 18-20 minutes between 5 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. (from 15 minutes between 5 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.) and every 18-20 minutes between 2:30 to 8 p.m. (from 15 minutes between 12:30 and 8 p.m.). Customers could use Routes 42 Derry and 66 McLaughlin, which also operate along Derry Road and McLaughlin Road.
  • 9 Rathburn: Buses on this route will stop at Erindale GO Station during weekday morning and afternoon rush hours only. During midday and late evening, this route will no longer service Erindale GO Station.

School service

Regular post-secondary and secondary school service will resume:

  • 44 Mississauga Road
  • 126 Burnhamthorpe Express
  • All 300-series secondary school routes

In addition, a new secondary school route will be introduced, operating between Meadowvale Village and Streetsville Secondary School:

  • New! 305 Streetsville SS: 7:55 a.m. arrival time and 2:48 p.m. departure time from Streetsville Secondary School

Additional school trips will also be reinstated on regular routes to provide extra capacity during school start and dismissal times. The following school trips on regular routes will see new or adjusted weekday trip times to align with new bell times:

  • 2 Hurontario (Port Credit Secondary School)
  • 8 Cawthra (Port Credit Secondary School, Cawthra Park Secondary School, St. Paul Catholic Secondary School)
  • 13 Glen Erin (John Fraser Secondary School)
  • 14/14A Lorne Park (Lorne Park Secondary School)
  • 15 Drew (Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Secondary School)
  • 29 Park Royal (Clarkson Secondary School)
  • 36 Ridgeway (Loyola Catholic Secondary School)
  • 51 Tomken (Philip Pocock Catholic Secondary School)

Platform changes at South Common Centre Bus Terminal

MiWay is making the following platform changes to improve safety, customer experience and transit operations at South Common Centre Bus Terminal:

  • Platform C: Route 36
  • Platform E: Route 26
  • Platform F: Route 110N
  • Platform G: Route 48N
  • Platform H: Route 13S
  • Platform J: Route 110S
