Current Alerts:

Flood Outlook

A Flood Outlook is currently in effect for the Region of Peel including the City of Mississauga.

A Flood Outlook has been issued for the City of Mississauga. Areas in the city received between 20 and 80 mm of rain this morning in addition to the 5 to 25 mm of rain recorded yesterday.

Environment Canada is forecasting up to an additional 20 mm of rain this afternoon/evening. There is also a slight chance for a severe thunderstorm over parts of Southern Ontario.

Residents are asked to please stay away from streams, rivers and waterways as they can become dangerous, especially in the vicinity of culverts, bridges and dams.

With the additional rain in the forecast and the fact the ground is already saturated, there is the potential for flooding of roads and trails.

To report flooding, please call 3-1-1.

Please be careful around all waterways and keep children and pets away from all watercourses.
