About the artwork

Growing with my Library, a temporary public art installation by artist and illustrator Soon Cho (aka Nina), was installed as part of the construction hoarding for the Hazel McCallion Central Library renovation project.

In the artwork, Soon depicts some of her personal experiences at the library, while also highlighting the new, innovative programming that is available. Soon grew up regularly visiting the Hazel McCallion Central Library and still uses the facility as an adult as a playground for creativity, culture, and connection.
