The City’s Civic Award of Recognition is part of an ongoing, annual recognition program which has honoured residents since 1992. Other awards in the program include the Certificate of Recognition and the Civic Award of Merit.
By getting involved in local government affairs, these citizen leaders forge a link between the community, municipal policy making and the delivery of City services. The honoured guests demonstrate a commitment to Mississauga and serve as excellent examples to others in the community.
