Last Chance to Vote in the 2020 People’s Choice Awards

This is the final week of online voting for the 2020 Mississauga Urban Design Awards – Retrospective People’s Choice Award. This year’s nominees include 70 previous Award of Excellence winners from the last 35 years.

What is urban design? 

Urban design shapes the interaction between people and places. It is about how buildings fit together to make quality spaces. It addresses the natural and built environments.

Why is it important to celebrate excellence in urban design?

Urban design creates successful, vibrant cities and has been shown to improve the quality of life.

How to vote?

• Visit http://www.mississauga.ca/portal/residents/urbandesignawards for the link to the online voting portal.
• You may vote for one selection in each category – Public Projects and Private Projects.
• You may vote once.
• Voting closes on September 28, 2020. Winners will be announced in October.

The Mississauga Urban Design Awards are one of the longest running urban design awards in Ontario. The City has been recognizing exceptional urban design since 1981.
