Mississauga Youth Participate in Rebel17

From May 1 to 7 the City of Mississauga is hosting Rebel17. This annual campaign empowers youth ages 13 to 30 to make a difference within their community through music, film, the arts, culture and sport. Rebel17 features free drop-ins, workshops, events and activities all created by youth for youth.

Rebel17 Event Highlights

  • Sauga celebrates Canada 150! Get a Neighbourhood Celebration Kit to help put the “150” into your event! Kits are available for eligible groups hosting outdoor events.
  • All City libraries are offering a free Magnetic Poetry station.
  • It’s National Youth Week and National Youth Arts Week! #REBELHUB will be celebrating with free workshops in urban arts, an art exhibition and a showcase finale, hosted by Meadowvale Theatre.
  • Sauga at Play celebrates 10 years –  come out for a free drop-in session at any community centre during after-school hours.

  • Rebel17 marks National Youth Week and National Youth Arts Week.
